Background

A leading distributor of Agricultural implements and parts for agricultural equipment had several hundred dealers across multiple states that sold their parts through their brick and mortar retail stores. Many of these dealers did not have a website or a eCommerce store to sell their products online.

The Challenge

The agricultural distribution company had multiple warehouses stocking different products and dealers were linked to any one of their locations with their inventory coming from that specific location. For an eCommerce dealer portal they needed the capability to ship any orders from a central warehouse and show combined inventory from their different warehouse locations.

Solution

B2Sell proposed a solution using the Dealer Portal module which would connect to the distributor’s Epicor Prophet 21 ERP and sync inventory from multiple warehouse locations for the dealer’s eCommerce website.

The dealer portal solution offered multiple templates for the dealers to choose from with the ability to customize the design as well providing custom design capabilities. Dealer websites can be launched and can go live in a matter of days as opposed to taking multiple weeks for setting up data and functionality using traditions eCommerce platforms.

B2Sell also has been working with the distributor on enhancing their product content so the dealer eCommerce websites can show rich content for the end users thereby improving sales customer purchase experience.

Result

Using B2Sell Dealer Portals many dealers have a eCommerce website that is live and taking orders, orders are drop shipped from a central warehouse facilitating a seamless experience for customers, dealers and the distributor.
