Background
The client was a technology service provider that offered “Room As A Service” (RaaS) to several multinational corporations and federal agencies. They had predetermined contracts with their customers to provide the technology and installations for modern workplace requirements. The need was for a B2B portal that allowed logged in users to view room packages available to them and place orders or generate quotes as needed.
The Challenge
Every customer had pre-defined contracts that allowed them to order certain room packages and the pricing varied for each room package based on the contract. Every room had certain add-ons that could be added along with a global list of add-ons and accessories that were available for all rooms.
Users within the same company needed to be able to view and place orders/quotes for the rooms as signed by the company’s contract and a master user for each company was allowed to view and download reports on the various orders placed.
Solution
B2Sell proposed a solution using B2Sell eSeller for the B2B portal implementation, the design of the portal was customized and fully responsive. B2Sell Central was used to store the product data, room packages, add-ons and accessories.
Every user was linked to a company that allowed configuration of room packages at the company level. Allowed/Restriction rules within B2Sell Central offered the capability to choose the room packages and add-ons for each company. Users logging in can view their packages and place an order/quote which also generated an email notification to the users and the client.
My account section on the portal allowed users to view their past orders/quotes and generate reports on those.
Result
Using B2Sell’s turnkey solutions the client was able to successfully roll out the portal to their users within a tight deadline. Users now had the capability to select & customize packages online which used to be a manual process thereby saving time and increasing transparency across the organization.
